Day and Residential Special Needs School for pupils with Vision and Sensory Impairment

Co-Head Teachers' Welcome

On behalf of Linden Lodge, we are delighted to welcome you to our website. Our staff, governors, children and families work together to create the positive atmosphere and high standards that characterise our school community. We are a dynamic and successful school where diversity and individuality are celebrated.

Our Values

Our values underpin everything we do at Linden Lodge. We have created an ambitious culture through which we achieve the highest standards by promoting partnership working and building a positive and supportive environment where individuals flourish. Above all we see each student as an individual and celebrate all achievements as a community.

Our Curriculum

We offer a highly specialised curriculum that enables children and young people with vision and sensory impairment to engage, achieve and be prepared for life as active citizens. Our curriculum is underpinned by an inter-disciplinary approach where professionals, therapists, habilitation officers, nursing, support staff and specialist teachers work collaboratively to build a personalised provision for all students.

Therapy at Linden Lodge strives to support you, the pupil, in achieving your potential. The unique support we provide, from the moment you enter the school through to preparation for adulthood, is steered by your aspirations, strengths and needs. We do this through specialist, individualised, hands-on therapy and advice led by a team of Speech and Language, Occupational, and Physiotherapists.

The residential provision at Linden Lodge School, offers both full time and part time boarding. The young people have access to the full facilities of the school’s provision. We operate a waking day curriculum to develop the young people’s interests and learning goals. The provision is supported by experienced staff; all young people have a key worker to enable them to develop their independence skills.
