Charity Ball For Linden Lodge

At 7:30pm on the 2nd July 2009, a Midsummer Night's Charity Ball will take place at: Jalous, 17 Hanover Square London W1S 1HU. It will be a glamorous event, packed with celebrities from the music, media and fashion industry.

We will kick off the evening with a champagne and cocktail reception, followed by a fashion show with some of London’s hottest designers and models. There will be a free bar and canapés throughout the evening and a special auction where celebrities have donated items, so expect a few surprises and a bidding frenzy for these amazing pieces. The rest of the night will be danced away with a top DJ line up spinning the decks.

This event is to raise money to build a Movement Development and Performing Arts Centre at Linden Lodge School. Linden Lodge is a special school situated in Wandsworth for children with visual impairment and multiple disabilities. This is a major project for 2009 and the school is hoping to complete the centre by the end of the year.

We hope that you will support the project in the knowledge that we together can make a difference to these amazing children's lives. Please accept the challenge and make an effort to support the appeal.

For tickets and more information contact either Judy on 07956 879 435 or Danni on 07708 154 250.

If you are unable to attend the Ball but would like to donate to this appeal please click here.

Thank you.

Our New Minibus!

DSC_0027_2
On Friday 10th October our lovely new minibus arrived. Generously donated by the Lady Taverners, the key was presented to us by Dot (June Brown) from Eastenders.

June talked to lots of the pupils and signed hundreds of photographs. We all really enjoyed meeting her.

Governors, Trustees, Mr and Mrs Nigel Rankine, Managing Director from Mayflower Developments, and Denise Horton (Chairman of the Lady Taverners) and Justine Greening, our local MP, all joined in the celebration.

Stephanie tried out the bus and it met with everyone’s approval.
