Wandsworth Sensory Support Services

Wandsworth Sensory Support Services (WSSS) comprises Wandsworth Hearing Support Service and Wandsworth Vision Support Service. Our combined team of nearly 250 dedicated and committed staff provide education, care and support to almost 1,000  children and young people from birth to 25 years of age. The largest and most diverse team of professionals working in the field of sensory impairment in the south east, we are recognised nationally and internationally for our work.

  • The Willow Hearing Support Centre (formerly Sellincourt Hearing Impaired Unit)
  • The Rowan Hearing Support Centre (formerly Southfields Hearing Imapired Unit)
  • The Acorn Family Centre
  • The teacher of the deaf input to St. George’s Cochlear Implant Centre
  • Parent education and training programmes for families of sensory-impaired children.
  • Enrichment programme including shortbreaks & cultural activities
  • Training for professionals

Wandsworth Vision Support Service - 61 Princes Way, Wimbledon Park, London. SW19 6JB

  • Advisory Service to schools and other settings within Wandsworth and Kensington & Chelsea
  • Home visiting programmes
  • Weekly playgroup for children with sensory needs
  • Student counselling service providing counselling for children and young people in the Service and in Linden Lodge School
  • Parent counselling service providing 1-1 counselling as well as parent support groups and parent education programmes
  • Enrichment programme including Shortbreaks & cultural activities
  • Training for professionals
