Isobel Centre Café opens!

6th Form pupils, Samer and Chris, opened The Isobel Centre Café for the first time on Thursday 24th January 2019.  The pupils helped to set up the café, laying out snacks and crockery and learning about customer service; food handling etiquette; health and safety when handling hot drinks; numeracy, money and tidying up at the end.  This was a practice run and the café was open to parents attending the Thursday morning playgroup and a small number of staff.

It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm from the pupils and they looked really excited and enthused with their new responsibilities.  It was also good to see what is popular and sells well as we learnt that chocolate brownies and cookies with white and milk chocolate chunks are extremely popular.  We shall be sure to stock up on those for next time.
