MP Breaks Ground for Family Centre

Justine Greening MP (Secretary of State for Education) visited Linden Lodge School on Monday, 26 September to turn the first sod as construction gets under way for the Family Centre. Governors, trustees, staff, and other invited guests looked on as Ms. Greening dug the ceremonial shovel into the site where the adaptable, accessible, multi-use space will begin to welcome families in April 2017.

Ms. Greening said, ‘It was a real honour to turn the first sod for Linden Lodge’s new Family Centre today. The Family Centre will be a fantastic resource for both students and their families where they can come together to share their experiences, and provides a central place where they can get information and receive training and support. Linden Lodge provides fantastic facilities and opportunities for its students and this new multi-use centre will really add to the existing provision – I look forward to coming back once building work has completed!’
